The rebirth of The Bodo City Gigi sport/Cultural display stirs up Joy among Bodo indigenes as the they witnessed a beautiful new year ‘Gigi’ competition.
Gigi, a cultural display of the Bodo people is a paddling competition (a boat regatta) between groups. Like every sports, there’s always a winner!
On Sunday 2nd January 2022 the display/Competition was held at Numuu Lelasi-bookpo also know as Numuu City. With two groups in Participation.
The indigenes could not hide their Joy as most of them took it online to express their excitement over the display. It was all a Joy to watch.

Am very happy that my community BODO CITY, have come to remember her cultural display of the Gigi’s festival. Over the years BODO people abandoned Gigi’s festival and focus on the European number game (football) which leads to the BODO CITY fOOTBALL FEDERATION(BOKAFA) which took in 2008 where The KETOI BROTHER S wins the competition.
